About Lucy (On Trial 15/11/12)
Lucy is a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is an absolute find! It’s so nice having a loving and quiet dog that can mix it with the big guys! At the moment Lucy is sharing the backyard with a German Shepherd pup and is happily holding her own, letting the shepherd know when she’s had enough or if things are getting a bit too rough.
It’s obvious Lucy has been very loved in the past. She enjoys a scratch and to rest on a friendly lap. She is gentle and restrained around children, preferring to be patted on the head rather be picked up. At night time Lucy would like to sleep in the warm bed with her owner, but after a little bit of pushing she does take the hint and goes to her own bed. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when people are home and to sleep inside.
Lucy would suit a lot of different households. She would be a wonderful, gentle companion for an older person; and a family with young children would love her happy little nature. Lucy would also be a great friend to an only dog looking for some company. This gorgeous little terrier is being looked after in Newcastle, NSW and is looking forward to finding her forever home.
For more information or to meet Lucy please phone Emma on 0403 730 943.
Lucy's $400 adoption fee covers her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Lucy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
