About Toby (On Trial 24/11/12)
My name is Tobias, but people call me Toby for short and I am a 3yr old male Jack Russell. I love toys, especially my squeaky pink piggy! I am oh so cute, playful, gentle and just a little nervous. But my foster parents are working on building my confidence.
If you adopt me, you will have my unwavering adoration for all time. If you bring me to your home, I pledge to constantly and closely follow your every step from room to room because that’s what best friends do.
I am a very good watchdog, because I only bark when I notice strangers… or strange birds.
Being an energetic Jack Russell Terrier, I enjoy racing madly around the backyard and after that, it is usually my nap time. House training is not a problem as I am already aware that you humans don’t like me ‘doing my stuff’ in the house and I am also familiar with the terms: “Sit”, “Outside”, “On your mat” and “No”. I am a quick learner and, at the moment, just learning to walk on a lead. Us Jack Russells are known for our brains so I am full of potential and ready to learn as much as you want to teach me.
If you are caring enough to adopt me, I know we will quickly grow to love each other and I promise you will always be glad that you invited me into my forever home.

For more information or to meet Toby please phone foster carer Nora on 0418-402-150. Toby is in foster care in Muswellbrook NSW (Hunter Valley) but may be able to be brought to Newcastle on weekends if you want to meet him.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Toby's $400 adoption fee covers his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Toby.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
