About Karma
Karma is a 5 yo purebred, female, American Bulldog. She is well behaved and no trouble: not a barker, jumper, escaper, digger or anything destructive like that. She came from a very loving background. Her owner reluctantly gave her up when his relationship broke down, he works a lot overseas for big blocks at a time.
Karma used to live with a male dog, the ex took the other dog. Karma is a dominant female but is happy with most male dogs, she doesn't like the weaklings though, she likes her male dogs strong and big, so she is best matched with a dog of similar size and who is not afraid to play hard with her. She got on extremely well with a male Doberman I had here as well a male rottie. Both similar size to her. She is happy being an only dog or having a doggy friend. She would be fine as an only dog as long as she got plenty of attention and time from her owner. Karma is great with people including children, though I'd recommend her for older kids just due to her size. She is very loyal and will be especially devoted to her family.
The American Bulldog looks nothing like the English Bulldog. The American Bulldog is taller and more athletic than the English Bulldog. A little about the breed: "American Bulldogs are animals that bond very close to the family, they usually adore children. The dog needs room and exercise but this will vary with the individual dog. The other feature we have found common is they very rarely dig holes and only bark when there is a reason. Other features such as drive, endurance, stamina and working ability will vary from dog to dog." More about the breed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Bulldog

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
