About Jessie (On Trial 13/10/12)
Jessie is a 2 year old purebred Boxer. A loving and playful girl she is just adorable, Jessie loves to play with her foster parent’s own Boxer dog after she has finished her training time and once she is tired it’s time for lots of cuddles! Then back to playing of course.
Jessie aims to please and thrives on learning so will benefit from continued training. She is currently learning all her basic obedience training. Just full of boundless energy Jessie loves to go for her walks and is starting to do quite well walking on a ‘gentle-leader’ lead.
With lots of supervision Jessie has been getting along well with other pets and small dogs, Jessie is quite curious with the chooks and cats, however has been leaving them alone. She is also good with smaller children though is still learning not to jump up on people. Jessie is better not left alone inside however while supervised she is great inside and is encouraged to stay close to people and not wander about the house, she will need to be allowed in the house sometimes with her new loving family.
As she loves to learn and is getting plenty of treats Jessie is picking up some wonderful new habits. Jessie will make a fantastic addition to the family with a fellow dog friend to play with all day she is just a wonderful girl.
Jessie is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. For more information or to meet Jessie please phone Robyn on 02 4972 0804 or 0407-074-143 (sorry, no email)
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Jessie's $450 adoption fee covers her desexing, vaccinations, flea & worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Jessie.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
