About Winnie *On Trial in Her New Home*
*WINNIE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* This smiley, happy dog is Winnie and she’s looking for a new forever home where she can be loved and cherished as she so deserves. Winnie’s foster carer describes her as a quiet little lady who loves to sit on her lap for cuddles while they watch tv. She can be a bit nervous and startles easily (she’s afraid of the flapping doggie door so we’re working on this) so we wouldn’t recommend her for young, boisterous children. \ At night Winnie’s been sleeping in her carers room where she’s not afraid to hop up on the bed when asked. She’s fine with her carers 3 year old little dog and ok with her pup until he gets too much then she tells him off so she’d be best suited to a home with an older friendly dog or where she can have her humans all to herself. She is also good with cats. Winnie enjoys snoozing in the sunshine and she loves the water and will hop in the doggie pool for a quick cool down on a hot day. She’s a good little eater who likes to munch on chicken wingettes. Gorgeous Winnie isn’t at all yappy or in your face and she doesn’t chew or dig. She’s very good on a lead and has been brushing up on the “sit” command whilst in care. This beautiful little dog isn’t really into games and toys; she’d much prefer the role of lapdog!
Being a purebred rough coated Jack Russell Terrier she doesn’t shed much hair and is fairly low-maintenance, requiring a good brush every now and then and a bath as required. As Winnie is already housetrained and sleeps inside at night she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle. Daily walks, secure fencing, chicken wings to chew on and a human to snuggle with will make Winnie very happy indeed!!

Medical notes
Winnie is health-checked, desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed.
DOB; 26/03/06.
Heartworm test = negative (commenced Heartgard).
Winnie underwent a dental and had to have 6 teeth removed. She also had to have her ears cleaned out under a general anaesthetic and our vets have advised the ear issues may be ongoing to some extent, so Winnie should be rehomed to people willing to clean them and watch for infection.
