About Max (OnTrial 9/10/12)
Max is a 9 week old Border Collie x Cattle Dog. He is an energetic and smart little boy. He loves to play with his sister Chelsea (also available for adoption). He is fine with children. He is currently staying with his brother and 3 cats and 4 chickens. He gets along well with all the animals. He is a very relaxed little man, loves his pats, and is a little quieter than his sister Chelsea http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/200895
Max sleeps inside at night, but has recently spent a night outside in a kennel and was fine, no barking etc. Max loves to come for a car ride and is begining to walk well on a lead. He has quickly learnt a couple of basics like sit and down. He is super smart and will learn very quickly with some more puppy training.
Max is learning to become house trained. He will most times use his puppy mat or go outside to toilet. A home with a doggy door would be ideal.
Max was born on 23/7/2012 and is ready to go to his forever home now.
Max is in foster care in Gateshead, NSW. For more information or to meet him, please phone foster carer Nicole on 0423 925 604.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Max's $450 adoption fee covers her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Max.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
