About Spikie (On Trial 12/10/12)
Spikie is an adorable 12 month old male Foxie cross . He weighs a tiny 2.5kgs! Spikie is a lovely sweet boy who adores attention. He will need another dog to play with as he just loves to play all day with his current foster sister Georgie Girl (also available).
Spikie will need really good fencing as he is so small he could squeeze through gaps if he wanted to (he has not escaped my yard). He will also need to be an inside / outside dog and sleep inside. He loves to snuggle with you on the lounge and sleep with you at night in your bed. We are working on toilet training and he is learning well. He gets along with other dogs and cats and is good with kids though kids over 7 would be best due to his very slight build.
If you are after a ready made family, consider also adopting Georgie Girl, his foster sister, as they are already the very best of friends. http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/200801 \ (copy and paste the link)
Spikie is in foster care in the Maitland area, NSW, and is available for adoption interstate. For more information or to meet him please contact Skye on 0415-380-230 or 4934- 6643.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
