On Hold
The most common age for dogs to come into pounds around australia is between 6 months and 2 years of age. At that age, they are past their cute puppy good looks and smack bang in the middle of their naughty teenage years. At 10 months duke fits right into that category, but this boy was lucky enough to retain some of his puppy good looks and charm. Duke's new home must be an active one and he would make a great companion for an existing active dog. Duke loves the company of other dogs and just doesn't understand dogs who don't want to play with him. Beagles and foxhounds are both active and intelligent breed with a fun-loving and funny personality and duke is a combination of the two breeds. Unlike many scenthounds he can be walked off lead in parks quite reliably. In his current foster home he has two dogs to play with and gets to go for long walks along the river and he is such a happy boy. If you're looking for an attractive, active companion to walk along the river in spring, to take to the weir over summer and sit in front of the fire with over winter then duke is your man
