Star

Star is a beautifully natured girl who would make a wonderful addition to any family. Star is currently living with her foster family who have another dog and two cats. She plays very well with her current doggy companion and, while very playful, she is never too rough and is careful to be gentle when she is on the beach and playing with dogs smaller than herself. Star is also gentle with cats and, while she likes to run after them in the house, she only ever licks them and would never hurt. In general, Star has a very placid nature and is also gentle with children of all ages.

Star loves her daily trips to the beach and loves to swim in the surf, even when the waves are bigger than her!

Star is coming along well with her training and knows how to sit, stay, drop and wait for her dinner before getting the "ok" to begin eating. Star is also very responsive at coming back on command when she is walked off the lead. Strangely, when Star's foster parents go jogging, Star likes to remain at their heel for the entire jog and will not stray more than a metre away. However, when walking, she will sniff around, play with other dogs and always comes back when called.

Star was originally found by Rangers in Broome wandering with her sister Twinkle and it is possible that she was dumped. However, if you look at her now, you would never know that she had a rough beginning as she is such a happy and confident girl.

Star is due to be desexed this month, has had all of her vaccinations and is wormed monthly.
