About Bertie
Bertie is a very sweet natured and gentle dog in need of a special home. his foster carer says he is simply a delight to have around, is housetrained and gets on very well with other dogs, both male and female. Bertie would probably be good with cats as well but he is yet to be tested. he gets so excited when it's time for walkies or dinner that he does a little dance with his front paws waving in the air. he sometimes decides himself when it's time for dinner and will stand in your kitchen and bark to let you know! bertie has the most charming way of greeting you when you get home as he waves his paws at you and play bows. He loves a snuggle and will bury his soft, old head into your neck and will stay like that for ages. Bertie is a quiet little boy who probably suffered years of neglect. he was found in the pound very matted and with such crusty eyes he was blind and in obvious discomfort. Our vet found that bertie has a very common condition called 'dry eye' and requires drops in his eyes 3-4 times a day to prevent a great deal of discomfort and subsequent infections. his rotten old teeth were taken out but he has a few left and it doesn't stop him sucking on a small biscuit, which he goes to collect one at a time from the communal bowl and then takes back to his bed!
Bertie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and with local council lifetime registration for $315.
