On Hold
About Rover Aka Joey Johns On Hold
Rover is back! rover was initially adopted by a local family who have now had to move house and, as is unfortunately so often the case, the new landlord has said no pets! so after a very sad farewell, rover is back from whence he came. He was born in care on 3 may 2007 to a beautiful red heeler girl, ginger (see pic below). His mum and his siblings have since been rehomed (see video of his sister, rylie, on the videos::rehomed pets page)of rar website you'll get an idea from the photos why little rover was nicknamed "joey johns" after the rugby league player with legs as thick as tree trunks! rover is a happy, friendly social, laid-back kind of fellow. Not much phases him, he's simply a happy boy. Rover seems to have gotten used to a life of luxury from his previous home as we've been told he slept in a baby rocker! he was also great mates with the family's toddler and would follow her around attached to her nappy! rover is great with both kids and adults - and other furkids in the home would also be a bonus for him (canine or feline. . . Rover won't care which!). He has the typical needs of any puppy like nutritious food, shelter from the elements, a well-fenced secure yard and, of course, some daily exercise, training and attention from his humans. While he is still a baby, rover can't be left alone in the yard to fend for himself and should be allowed indoors to interact and bond with his family, and he'd do best in a home that allows him free access to indoors and out. Rover should grow to be small-medium size at the most when mature. This little fellow will make the best little family companion you could ask for and, with those legs, he may make the best punt kicker for the family footy team!
