Tobias (On Trial)

Meet Tobias, the fun-loving 6-month-old Wolfhound x. Based on his appearance, we believe this happy pup is most likely mixed with mastiff or bull arab with a little pointer thrown in. Currently weighing in at 20kg, Tobias is expected to mature into a medium to large dog.

He is a gorgeous boy with an adorable beard and beautiful markings. Tobias melts the hearts of all who cross his path. Tobias is on the lookout for someone to love and someone to love him in return. He is an incredibly social dog, who will flourish in a home where he is cherished and considered an integral member of the family.

Tobias likes to think he is a lap dog and loves to jump in people’s laps for kisses and cuddles. His affectionate nature makes him the perfect companion for all members of the family and would be a loyal friend for older children. Tobias is an active pup who loves to run and play. He would suit an active owner or family who will help him burn off energy. In saying this, provided Tobias has toys he is quite happy to entertain himself and shouldn’t be an issue when no one is home.

Tobias would bond well with a doggie playmate- he was very popular with the other dogs at the pound and gets along wonderfully with his two 50kg foster brothers. He has encountered small and medium dogs at the park and the beach, and was desperate to play with them! Please note we are not sure how Tobias would react to cats or pocket pets as we haven’t exposed him to any.

Tobias is very eager to please which means training is not a chore. Tobias can sit, play fetch and is learning the command ‘stay’. He walks beautifully on the lead- we haven’t tried him off the lead in a public place, however he does come when called. This loveable boy is housetrained and is happy spending time inside and outside the home. We are currently taking him on lots of trips to the park and dog beach to get him use to travelling in the car.
