About Issie
** Issie is trialling his new home **
Issie is a medium sized, alert and active dog who prefers to have company most of the time. She walks quite well on the lead and is always eager to get out and about. A minimum requirement for Issie would be 30 mins BRISK activity DAILY including off lead running. \ She quite likes the water but so far has not made it all the way in and gone swimming.
Issie enjoys the company of other dogs of all sizes and loves a boisterous wrestle and rough house play so she would suit a home with another young medium dog. At least, she needs daily time to socialise off lead with other dogs.
Issie is strong and can be a bit bossy with other dogs but she is not aggressive. She loves playing chasing games and is extremely fast. She has been gentle with small dogs and pups she has met so far. But cat and birds beware – Issie will chase you.
With people of all ages Issie has been submissive and loving but not overly clingy. She is very good with older kids.
Issie does not respond well to loud reprimands or punishment but thrives and learns on positive reinforcement – preferably with food! She is housetrained, lives and sleeps inside and is great in the car. Her coat is short-medium and sheds moderately. A quick brush twice a week cuts this down.
Issie is still young and still displays some minor puppy mischiefs. She does not bark unnecessarily but she will protect your property and your car!
