About Fernandah
I'm an affectionate social butterfly and like nothing more than people coming over and hanging out with me. I actually prefer it more than walks and even more than being with other dogs. If you're a couch potato, rather than a marathon runner, that'll be fine. I also love the water and the beach. I have rhodesian ridgeback heritage and you can see from my eyes how smart i am.
I'm keen to please and have been going to puppy school. I've been a quick learner and can now do standard things you may expect of me, like sitting, dropping, coming to you when you ask etc. I even pee on request, most of the time. I'd love to continue my education through more classes with my forever family. A brain like mine shouldn't go to waste. I'm playful when i'm feeling energetic, am great with kids and like meeting other dogs. But some dogs i like more than others - large male dogs are more my thing. Others, i can take or leave and will walk past them without so much as a tail wag.
A calm mature dog friend would be nice, especially if he's male. I haven't yet figured out that cats don't always appreciate m yenergetic style of play. Either a home without cats or with a cat who's willing to teach me better manners with a quick swipe over the nose would be ideal. I'm also not great with chickens or birds, as I chase them.
Hey, i'm only a 18 month old youngster. I can't be perfect, yet. I'd prefer a home where people are around a lot or where there's another dog, so i'm not lonely and have a playmate to cuddle with. I'm a real snugglebug and like hanging out on the sofa, beds, whatever, just being someone's companion. I'd love some kindness from a patient person to help me overcome some fears - busy roads, cars, trucks, loud things. I sometimes feel a bit vulnerable when we're out walking and actually feel safer when there are two people with me.
I just need some tlc to blossom into the beautiful social butterfly that I am.
