About Peppy (adopted 13/10/12)
Hi, I'm Peppy, a 9 month old, male, Pomeranian. I love playing fetch but still have to learn the art of actually bringing back…but I’m learning. I love to snuggle and cuddle and play gentle with my foster mum. I am having lots of fun getting lots of exercise running around
I am a puppy so I love to yip at everything. With the right forever mum/dad, I know I can learn lots of things including when to yip and when not to. I am clever like that. I am wary of new people whom I don’t know and tend to growl a little bit, but if they are gentle with me and pat me the right way (under my chin and on my chest), then it doesn’t take me long to learn that they are my friend and I quickly go looking for cuddles and playtime.
Grooming: my foster mum brushes my long thick coat really well at least every two days and I love it. It’s a game for me but I’m also learning to just sit still and enjoy feeling that lovely brush make my fur and skin feel wonderful. My foster mum is teaching me how to lap up the attention and make brush time fun and relaxing.
My foster mummy is teaching me to sit and stay and I am progressing well. I get along ok with my foster brothers and sister. Even though I would thrive as an only dog, I know that I could, with the right teaching and lots of love, be a wonderful little brother to other dogs. I haven’t learned what cats are yet.
My foster mummy had to take extra steps to stop me from pushing my way under her fence and go exploring…and I do love exploring. My new forever home will need a very secure yard with no little gaps that I can push under to go investigating the world.
I walk well on a lead. I haven’t learned to walk at heel yet but there is lots of time for that. Foster mummy says that I am a good boy for not pulling on the lead. Since I was delivered to my new foster home, I have certainly come out of my shell. I love cuddles, playtime, fetch, dinner time and sleep time. I love to sleep in the doggy bed that foster mummy put down for me but I also love to sleep on the bed with her all night so I would need to go to a forever home who loves to have me inside and keeps me nice and warm and safe at night.
If you'd like to meet me, please ring my foster Mum Terrie on 0451 469 494. I am in Newcastle, NSW.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
