We have loved getting to know this young guy.
Ned came to us a nervous, shy easily frightened dog. He would flinch and cower
and express fear when we moved our hands around too much or made too much eye contact. He would urinate if you raised you voice, and cower when introduced to knew people.

Ned's is a slow and ongoing journey to recover his true self. But in the four
months in our home he has grown up so much. Underneath his fear and nervousness. Ned is a sweet and sensitive and caring dog. He is slow to trust new people, particulary men, but if they take their time and give him plenty of space to start, with the rewards are great. He is deeply
affectionate, soft and gentle. He has developed a loving relationship with one
of my close male friends.

He is playful and gentle with both of my young daughters. His favourite thing is to be invited up onto the bed in the morning he wriggles around in pure joy- and if you laugh at him he puts on the biggest show and does flips and somersaults and burrows in to you. He's real clown.

He has bonded well with the dogs in our pack and has earned himself the position
of pack groomer. He loves to lick and "flea" the other dogs and they don't mind
a bit.

He has learned over time that chasing the cat is not an option and he is now
able to share a nap on the couch with the cat, which is polar from where he
started. He walks well on a short leash, he knows basic obedience (sit, down, stay), he gives polite distance around food and is crate trained.

Ned's confidence shines as a sentry dog, he gives a very confident strong alert
bark if there is activity near our property, but quiets quickly once I have
investigated. He is a medium level energy dog, and has been satisfied with a 30min walk, a game of ball, and perhaps a ride in the car to the shops. This loves to chew stuff up so a ready supply of bones, chew toys and kongs is a
must if he is to be left alone for extended periods of time.
