shadow was rescued from a home where she was mistreated physically and emotionally. . Due to this she takes a while to warm up to males but once she spends a lot of time with them. Shadow gets more comfortable but once she knows you she is a sweet affectionate darling little girl who loves everyone. Shadow is fantastic with children of all ages and has been living in a home with a toddler who is quite rough and another small dog whom she has made great friends. Shadow loves attention and cuddles and is quite affectionate but is happy to sit on her own also. She is an inside/outside girl but prefers to be inside in the company of people. . Shadow will happily sleep on a bed on her own if directed but has been sleeping in our bedroom. . Shadow takes to most commands but does not respond well to raised voices and will find somewhere to hide. Shadow would suit a family with children or a female human on her own. . She is happy to be with other dogs but has spent little time with cats though the time she has spent with cats. . She has gotten along quite well with them. Shadow would better suit a home in which someone is home the majority of the time as she does get lonely. . She has been known to dig holes when she is too anxious and does not have enough toys or treats for stimulation. This does not happen all too often but has. . Shadow also likes to chew things when left outside on her own to long during the day. . Plenty of chew toys (kong) and bones would do her wonders. .
