About Zoe *On Trial in Her New Home*
*ZOE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME*Meet affectionate little Zoe, sadly her former owner became very ill so didn’t have the time to give this lovely girl all that she deserves, so she’s been surrendered to us SARG folk so we can help her find a new loving forever home; will it be with you?
Adorable Zoe is such a sweet little dog with a wonderful loving nature. She is now in foster care where her foster family are enjoying having her with them. They describe Zoe as “she just loves everyone, a very affectionate girl who loves nothing better than curling up on your lap or she cuddles in tight when she is picked up”.
While in foster care she is not at all fazed by the household dogs or cats; she is in her element. Her favourite pastime is a game of “chasey” – Zoe isn’t fussy and is happy to play chasey with one of the dogs but if they are too “busy” then Zoe is just as happy to play with one of the cats. Zoe also loves playing with all the fun toys that her foster mum has bought her. \ In her former life Zoe played with her owners’ visiting grandchildren daily and loved it so would be fine living with a family.
Toilet training is at the top of Zoe’s list of “things to do” as she learns more about the big wide world. Our experienced carer is working with Zoe and she is being crate trained at night which is a recommended method to fast track toilet training. \ Clever Zoe is doing very well indeed – happily sleeping in her crate all night, gets up early to go outside to the toilet, then pops up onto the “humans” bed for a cosy little snuggle session until they get up to start their own busy day; no wonder she’s doing so well! Zoe has been learning to walk on a lead though can get under your feet a bit so still needs some more practice. Her new forever owner will need to keep up the good work and allow this beautiful girl to continue to blossom by making a commitment to continue her training.
Being a purebred Toy Poodle Zoe doesn’t shed hair though she’ll require regular brushing and clipping to keep her looking gorgeous! A short walk or a run around the backyard to use up her energy plus secure fencing, chicken wings to chew on and toys to play with will make Zoe a very happy girl indeed!
As Zoe is used to spending time inside, especially for sleeping at night, we would like to see this inside / outside lifestyle continue in her new home with either a friendly dog or cat for company or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during her settling in period.
