Cozmo

Cozmo is described by his former owner as ‘a diamond – 99% perfect’. He is housetrained, knows basic obedience (sit, drop, stay) walks to heel, travels well in the car, loves to play with the hose, goes to bed on command; in fact he has all round lovely manners including not getting up on the furniture unless invited, not going into the kitchen and sitting waiting patiently for his dinner until given the command to eat. He ignores cats, is good with chickens and once proper introductions are done he bonds very closely with other dogs and enjoys a good romp. Cozmo really enjoyed having a job and on his daily walks liked to carry a backpack with water bottles to give himself a sense of purpose. He has a deep bark but only uses it to alert you when someone is around. Cozmo can be a bit of a ‘fraidy dog when it comes to strangers though and letting him approach them in his own time rather than them barrelling up to him is a must. Also like any sane being he dislikes squealing, screeching children with all their banging and arm waiving. There is no real age for the kids cozmo would be good with as that depends on how the kids themselves act – he isn’t a fan of adults who yell and scream either! cozzie needs an owner he can look up to and rely on when he gets afraid; someone he can trust to always be in charge as it will be that owner that will find he is an extraordinary dog. Someone who has had previous experience with a rescue dog that had some fear issues would be great so they could pick up where his last owners finished. Cozmo was adopted in december 2011 and has been returned due to private family reasons. For this reason we shall not discuss this publicly but will discuss with those with a genuine interest in adopting cozmo. This boy still has k-pup sponsorship from the last time he was at the shelter too!
