About Donatella
Update from her foster mum: donatella loves everyone she comes in contact with, be they human or feline. Visitors to the house will find her schmoozing on the arm of their chair & she will often be seen giving one of the resident kittens or cats a jolly good wash! this is remarkable given her early deprivation. The female members of the family who originally "cared" for her soon lost interest in donatella & the six kittens she produced at an early age. A neighbour thought they were all strays. Only the male member of the household & his mates paid her a second thought & fed her when they were banished to the garage for beer & smokes. Donatella thus acquired a taste for junk food! chocolate, cheezels, muffins etc! she was already pregnant with her second litter when she came to us even though she was still less than 10 months old, & while she was a conscientious mum to the new litter ( including turning them on to the joys of chocolate!) they clearly exhausted her, especially as two of them still haven't fund new homes as they lack her outgoing nature. Yet every morning she bounces over the doona to greet me! she's a very special cat, with amazing resilience, & needs a very special home where her predilection for exotic cheeses will be appreciated! donatella has been with her carer for the last 18 month. While she was there nursing the first lot of kittens she was already pregnant again. A very skinny and super friendly little cat when i first met her. Since that time she has has a little bit more me time and started to put on a few grams and is now a very healthy happy cat. She is always the first to greet you and get a cuddle. Donatella's foster mum just joined 2nd chance cat rescue a few weeks back and would love donatella to find the deserving loving home she would enjoy to have. Donatella is happy to be with humans and with other felines
