About Zeus (On Trial 1/11/12)
Zeus is a 1 year old Shih Tzu x Maltese. He is very loveable and just wants a home and family that will love him forever. He loves his toys and playing with other dogs and people.
Zeus needs a family where someone is at home, maybe someone who only works part time. He would make a perfect second dog as he doesn't have a nasty bone in his body and loves other dogs and craves company. Zeus can be a little bit naughty at times, like having a little dig in the garbage bin, but he is still young and someone who has time will be able to help him with his manners. A family with children over 8 years old would be very suitable as he loves to wrestle and play.
Zeus has one brown eye and one blue eye but his sight is normal, he is just extra beautiful. Zeus is an inside dog and needs to be in the house and included in family activities. At night he needs to sleep inside. Being a non-shedding breed, Zeus needs brushing every few days, bathing approximately every 3 weeks, and professional clipping approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. Cobar is small but not tiny, he weighs around 10kgs.
Please, if you can give Zeus a home he would be forever graceful and you would have a loving and loyal friend. Zeus is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. For more information or to meet Zeus please phone Sue on 0415 367 144.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Zeus's $450 adoption fee covers his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
