Ord and Argyle - A Special Story

This is a true story by a film crew travelling in the north west. Please read and if you think you can offer these two a home please email or phone. They need to be with a family that is home alot. My film crew and i were travelling back from shoot in the outback of wa on the ord river and lake argyle (thus their names) and saw these two on the side of the road. We stopped and after some coaxing arglye (the brindle) came up and drank some water then happily jumped into the back of our car. Ord (the black lab) did not want to know us, but wold not leave the other one, so we managed to lift him into the car also. We drove them the 100kms back to kununarra and took them to the vet to get them checked over. They then went to the ranger who kept them for the mandatory 72 hours to try and find their owners. No joy. When i dropped them off i made it very clear that nothing bad was to happen to them, and that i would do everything to get them rehomed. From our first meeting, even with them hungry, dehydrated and scared, it was obvious they had come from a good loving home. They were well behaved, not an inch of aggression and were just grateful to be saved. They were flown to perth and received vet work. !
since then i have managed to foster them to a couple of people, who are happy to look after them on short term, but are not in a position to keep them full time. All three families that have had them have raved about their personalities, how placid they are and how much fun they are to have around. Their manners are impeccable , proof that they have come from a loving home. They must stay together as they do panic without each other. Their only downside is that they also panic when left alone (not with people). They have escaped a couple of time, but only to go to the house next door where they found company. I truly believe that once they are in a secure environment after time they will settle. Ideally thought their home should be with people that can be around them constantly and don't mind them sleeping on the couch next to them!
