About Bart *On Trial in His New Home*
*bart is currently trialling his new home* this cheeky little bundle of joy is bart and he’s looking for a loving forever home after he and his sister, rosie, were surrendered to sarg for rehousing; will it be with you?
from bart’s carer:
bart is a very energetic young pup, however for all his playfulness, he gets a little shy when taken out of his regular surroundings. He loves to play and is learning to chase a ball and bring it back. He loves a good game of tug of war, either with the other dogs or with us humans. He knows how to sit and has just about mastered shaking hands. He uses the doggie door and is quite happy to sleep inside or out. He isn’t at all yappy and doesn’t bark unless something disturbs him. He loves to spend time with you however he gets very excited and likes to jump around and play rather than sit quietly. Once he has exhausted himself playing, he will quite happily cuddle up for snooze. Bart loves playing with any children who come to visit and is very friendly with other dogs and visitors to the house. He has met our family cat and has learnt that the cat doesn’t really appreciate his unwanted attention. He shows interest but when the cat hisses he is just as happy to find something else to amuse him. Bart’s house training is coming along fairly well. We still have the odd accident but he is improving all the time. Bart isn’t so convinced that getting out for a walk is such a great idea at the moment, however as with all of his other training, he will learn to adapt quite quickly the more often he does this. Bart isn’t fazed by his bathtime which ends with a blow dry and a good brush, however he does try to eat everything that you are using…lol! bart has short hair on his face and legs but the rest of his hair is reasonably long and fluffy. He will need regular grooming and the occasional clip to keep him looking handsome. Bart would be best suited to a family that is able to put the time into his training as he could become a bit naughty if spoilt too much. I believe he may be a little destructive if he didn’t have enough stimulation during the day, so another doggie companion or someone who would be home would be best for him. Little bart has mastered the doggie door and would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in his forever home.
