About Jack *On Trial in His New Home*
*JACK IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* This spunky little pup with the beautiful eyes is Jack and he’s looking for a new forever home after being surrendered to our local pound for rehousing due to a change in his owners circumstances; will it be with you?
Poor Jack was a bit terrified of the world when he first came into foster care with us SARG folk and he would hide in his carer’s walk-in wardrobe, though slowly, through lots of love and attention, he has come out of his shell and is enjoying life like all puppies should! Now he’s lapping up being spoilt by his carer’s teenage daughters and he also enjoys a game of rough and tumble with the family kelpie cross. Jack can still be a little shy, but doesn't take long to warm up to new people though we wouldn’t recommend him to a home with boisterous young children who could frighten this little sweetheart. During his “rehab” Jack found his voice so consequently he’s a good watchdog and he’s also learning how to “sit” though he needs some more practice at walking on a lead as we doubt he’s ever been on one and was a bit freaked out by it all.
Cutie-pup Jack is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy. He doesn’t shed much hair though he’ll require a brush from time to time and a bath as required. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make Jack very happy indeed!
As jack is used to spending time inside, especially for sleeping at night (he’s only had a couple of “accidents” inside when he first arrived in care), we would like to see this inside / outside lifestyle continue in his new home with either another friendly dog for company or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time.
