Barney is a very gentle obedient dog who just wants to please. He is a very fast learner and in only a matter of weeks learnt to sit for his dinner and wait when told. He has discovered how to play with water and loves to have toys thrown for him; he walks very well on the lead. As he is tall he does require reasonable fencing to discourage jumping. Barney does have some anxiety about being left on his own and therefore requires constant companionship either from another dog, preferably female, or a human friend. Barney is a very loyal dog and loves nothing more than being petted and with his willingness to please will make a lovely companion or second dog.
