On Hold
About Pash (On Hold as from 1/11/12)
Introducing the lovely pash, shar pei cross, 4 years old, a unique and beautiful girl. Not a beauty in the everyday sense, but a real head-turner, so exotic that you’ll want to take a second look. Her brindle coat, which is soft and velvety, is similar to a tiger’s with its muted stripes and colouring, and she studies you with golden eyes that make her seem very mysterious.
Pash is a happy girl who loves company, and would be a wonderful family dog as she loves children, and wants to be included in everyone’s activities; she would do well in a one-dog household where she was part of the family. She is very confident, and inclined to be a little bossy and domineering with other dogs, so she is probably best suited to a home where she is the only dog, or there’s perhaps one other. Cats are an issue ? i’m not sure that she knows what they are, but she’s hoping for an opportunity to find out, and i don’t think she expects to like them!.
Surprisingly, pash likes to talk a lot; she has something to say about most things that concern her family. This vocalising could be mistaken for growling, but once you know her you realise that she is simply opinionated, passing comment with a wagging tail and a relaxed attitude and expecting you to take note!.
Pash travels well in the car, and is used to walking on the lead, although at times she needs a firm hand. She is housetrained and sleeps inside, but likes to be outside during the day and join the family inside of an evening. Could she be your new best friend?
Pash's $400 adoption fee covers her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.
Pash is in foster care near Raymond Terrace, nsw (30 minutes north of Newcastle). For more information or to meet pash please phone foster carer Lynda on 02 4987 1213 after 6pm monday, tuesday, or wednesday, or any time on other days or email dogshouse@tpg.com.au any time but phone is preferred.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
