About Harriette
No more applications please if you are looking for a very sweet & lovely natured little dog, then look no further as harriette is exactly what you’re looking for. Her temperament is to die for & if i had room for another dog, she most certainly wouldn’t be available for adoption now. Very little is known about harriette before she came into awr’s care. We do know that she has had a rough, isolated life & was used as a breeding bitch. Socially harriette has suffered because of this & was initially quite shy towards people. She still has a tendency to be like this when being introduced to new people. However i do see this changing every day & i believe it won’t take long for her to overcome this issue. Harriette is a real little lady & very dog social. She is very tolerant towards other dogs who may be slightly pushy & she will just sit back & wait her turn so as not to upset things. She will happily play with other dogs (loves doggy chasey) or even by herself (loves toys, especially balls). She is such joy to watch. Harriette isn’t demanding & is content to just go with the flow. She will happily sit by your chair & either entertain herself or sleep, whilst you watch tv or work on the computer. She loves low key environments, so the retirement lifestyle is definitely made for her. Harriette thrives on positive reinforcement training. We have focused on improving harriette’s social confidence, which will aide her basic training. She is a very keen learner, which is encouraged by her eagerness to please people. Harriette would make an ideal second dog, as she is more comfortable in the presence of other dogs more than humans. Health history. Awr has no previous veterinary history, until harriette came into awr’s care. Her infected ears have been successfully treated. She does require a high fibre diet (1 teaspoon of metamucil a day) due to her bowel muscles being slightly damaged from mating trauma & daily medication to treat her very mild epilepsy (given roughly every 12 hours). There are no other known health problems that awr or our vet are aware of. Please send enquiries to mail@allwestierescue. Com
