On Hold
About Trevor On Hold
Trevor is a special needs puppy as his carer is now sure that he is deaf. She is currently working on teaching him hand signals for training, e. G. For "no" and "come". Trevor will need very special, understanding owners committed to his ongoing training in order to keep him safe in his silent world. Any previous experience in training or owning a deaf dog would be a benefit. Due to both trevor's deafness and pale skin, he needs a home where he is mostly indoors, with access to the yard. He also needs the company of a well-trained, well-mannered, friendly, hearing furkid buddy to lead the way, to learn from and to help be "his ears". Trevor came into care at only three weeks of age. He appeared in good condition but had a spot of "dirt" on his head between his eyes. On closer inspection it was found to be candle wax and more was found on one of his legs. Trevor is probably a mix of some "bull" type breeds like staffordshire, bullmastiff or perhaps some bull terrier as well. When mature, trevor will be a heavy-set dog and, even if he doesn't finish up tall, he will still be strong and muscular. Hence, he will only be available to a home experienced in caring for this type of mix and house him as a beloved pet. Trevor has a defined personality already, he's an inquisitive, intelligent, outgoing and happy little boy. As can be seen from the photos, trevor will need protection from the sun, especially around his eyes and nose where he lacks dark pigmentation, so he will need to have access to shaded areas or indoors and/or his own personal human servant to apply his sunscreen. . . Or some blues brothers dark sunglasses! trevor will be ready to go to his new home once he is around 8 weeks of age but, if you feel you can offer him the right home and lifestyle he deserves, please don't hesitate to enquire
