About Charlie
Charlie needs a very special home. This is charlie's story. Charlie came into care back in april, he was bought to my home in a cat trap, we think that at some stage charlie was a pet but then for reasons we will never know has been abandon. . . Ed and left to fend for him self. Charlie spent the next two weeks huddled in a large three tier cat pen. Charlie didn't know what a litter tray was and urinated in his bed or where ever he was huddled, he didn't eat for the first few days, charlie just shut down. I spoke to my partner, am i doing the right thing here, he is terrified, is this cruel, should charlie be euthanasied? we decided to give charlie more time. That turned out to be the best decision for all of us. I spoke to and patted charlie every single day, not once did he hiss, bite or scratch me he just buried his head. One morning i came in and said hi charlie and he looked at me, just looked. By this time he was using his litter tray so i decided to leave the pen open. Charlie stayed in the pen with the door open for the next two weeks, one day i came home and he was in one of the cat beds on the floor, again we just stared at each other. That was the start of the changes in charlie, over the days and weeks he became used to my movements, of the feeding routine and of course the pats. It got to the point where he would be waiting at the door for me and meow for some food and then rub on my legs, and allows me to stroke him, and he was relaxed. Charlie now has his new beginning and he wants his forever home, a quiet one, a patient one and one that will never abandon him again. Charlie needs a quiet home, he would love another cat as a buddy, he is an extremely clean cat. Charlie would love a warm bed, great food and he will make you very happy.
