About Cara
Cara is a 1-2 year old kelpie x bull terrier who is very friendly, rather gentle girl and loves to be close to you when it’s quiet time. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play around outside.
Cara has had a bit of rough start to life after she was rescued from a car accident several weeks ago however luckily received no serious injury and has recovered nicely so is now looking for her new forever home where she can start fresh and be loved and cared for.
Cara is an energetic girl who will need to be taken for daily walks and exercise, she would also benefit from having another doggy pal at her new home to play with and help her burn off all that engery. She is not much of a barker and will usually only bark to let you know if someone is wandering into the front yard.
Cara is a quick learner who learnt to ‘sit’ in one day and is currently learning to ‘stay’ and ‘shake paws.
Cara is in foster care in the Gateshead, nsw area and is available for adoption interstate. For more information or to meet name please phone foster carer Emma 0429 359 411.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Our $400 adoption fee covers the dog's desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving homeless dogs.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
