Harvey *On Trial in His New Home*

*harvey is currently trialling his new home* how adorable is harvey???? he even has a friendly loving nature to match those gorgeous looks. . . . . . . . How he ended up unclaimed in our local pound we will never know but he’s safe with sarg now and looking for a forever home of his own!!!

harvey has settled in well into foster care where he’s being spoilt by his carer and he’s loving life with her 3 year old terrier/kelpie x named jack for company – they just love a game of tug-a-war with their soft toys!! \ harvey’s also fabulous with the household cat who he tries to coax into playing with them too. From his carer: little harvey is an affectionate dog who loves to be the centre of attention and expects pats 24/7!! he is definitely toilet trained now and has mastered the doggie door. He also enjoys being outside and doesn’t whimper if left there while i’m at work as he has jack for company and they get along well. Harvey always finds things to play with or do in the yard - as long as there are toys to entertain himself with he’s an extremely happy pup. Harvey knows what walking is and looks forward to the times we go. He is an energetic dog and when we go walking he prances along on his toes and takes control, his nose in the air. He enjoys getting out and about. Harvey also adores his food, in fact he would eat 24/7 if i let him though he is a growing puppy! overall, harvey is nothing but a soft cuddly teddy bear who’d be terrific in a home that would spoil him further. handsome harvey is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy and he doesn’t appear to shed much hair though he’ll require a weekly brush plus a clip a few times a year to keep him looking his best. Secure fencing, chicken wingettes (his fave!) to chew on, toys to play with and lots of love will make harvey very happy indeed! harvey will also require some basic obedience training such as “sit” and “down” as he hasn’t been taught much but loves treats and is eager to learn. As harvey is already housetrained \ and used to sleeping inside at night he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a nice doggie companion or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he settles into his new home.
