Demi

Demi is a 4 yo kelpie x cattle dog. She enjoys going off leash at the beach where she can run far and fast, and always returns to her humans. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body and loves to play with other dogs. She is friendly with all people including children, but she does jump when excited so would need supervision around small children until she is trained not to jump. . . Demi isn't house trained but currently sleeps in a semi-indoor patio area and only toilets in the backyard which she has access to 24 hours. Demi does not walk particularly well on a leash because she's mainly off leash with us, but she would soon learn with a little training. She's a smart girl and would respond well. It's just that i haven't had the time to give her the attention she deserves. A dog training class would teach her all she needs to know and be a great bonding experience with her new family. . . Demi is very active so if her new home has another dog it should be one with similar energy levels. Demi would also happy as an only dog. Demi may be ok with cats if introduced properly but is not suitable for a home with birds or small animals. Demi isn't a jumper so doesn't need high fences. . . Although demi is an independent, quiet and very well behaved dog when left alone, it is only fair she be placed in a home where she will be given daily walks, human attention and even companionship with another dog. I'm sure she'd enjoy spending some time inside with the family in her forever home. . . Demi is being rehomed only because i don't have enough time to give her, not due to any problems we have with her. She is a loving, quiet and gentle girl with heaps of potential.
