Rocket** On Adoption Trial

Are you looking for a dog that will be in on all the action but then be happy to chill out with his favourite thing in all the world at night. His humans. Rocket adores people and loves everyone he meets whether it be man,woman or child. He would suit an active person or family. He has a very curious nature & is very loving. He is not the type of dog that would suit a quiet lifestyle though. This is not a fault there is a home out there for every dog and a dog for every home. It is just making the connection between the two. I really want to get the next home right for rocket as he has had a very big upheaval lately. We can only imagine what goes through a dogs mind when he has had a few homes in such a short time. I often ask myself this question when i look at rocket. He seems happy enough which is a good thing as he has had 2 homes in his very short life. Rockets first owners did not bother to look for him when he found himself at the pound. He then got lucky and was adopted direct from the pound so after his 7 day holding period rocket went off for his vetwork which included desexing and his new owners collected him from the vet and one happy fairytale ending. One week later rocket was surrendered by his new owners back to the pound stating he did not get on with their other dog and was possesive of his toys might i add i have not seen this problem once since in care. . Rocket then spent 2 more weeks at the pound waiting for a ticket out of there. Rocket now had a bad boy reputation and rescues were not exactly clamouring to save him. After he was here in care for a month i found him to be a well balanced dog who is just young and a bit like a front row forward when playing with other young dogs around his age but very respectfull of the older permanant residents here who put him in his place very quickly. Rocket is crate trained & sleeps in it every night & has had basic work on the lead. It will be a good idea to continue with his training on the lead as he has done really well and it would be a shame to see him revert back to his former steam train ways. . He loves his treats & has gained nearly 2 kg since coming into care. . Rocket is now 8 kg and in great condition. He is very trainable & is coming along really well. He has never gone to mark in my house & learning what it is like to be a valued member of the house not an unwanted burden. Rocket is not available for interstate adoption.
