About Muss
Hi i’m muss. I’m an affectionate, small to medium sized male cat that loves being outdoors and playing in the garden, walking through bush land, laying in the sunshine and having a cuddle (when i feel like one). I like being talked to, i love being admired and my foster mumma sings little songs to me too. I hate wearing a collar especially the ones with bells. I also hate loud noises, other animals and young kids. . . !
i found my mumma nearly two years ago. She found me hiding in her garden, scared and skinny and very shy. I turned up after a great many weeks of rain. She tried for months to find my original owners. . . Putting up signs, speaking to vet clinics, calling rspca and asking around but she never found my owners. She started to feed me and talk to me and she even named me one day, muss. After many months of living outdoors at night time and being attacked regularly by other big cats, she started to allow me to sleep in the laundry at night (although the dogs of the house didn’t like this at all). My mumma moved last year and decided to take me with her with the hope that i could now have my own big laundry to myself, away from the dogs, a quiet space for myself. Although i now enjoy a half acre of bushland and lots of space outside to roam and investigate, i’m still not relaxed inside the house. The dogs still chase me and have not accepted me into the family plus i am finding the two year old little girl very loud and intimidating. My mumma doesn’t want to give me away but feels it’s the best option. Although it’s very hard for her to do so she feels it’s the best thing for me. So, that’s why i need a new home. Muss’s ideal home would be a stable home with no children or other animals. Someone who plans to keep him until his final days, muss has had enough ‘change’ in his life. A place where he can be the ‘king of the house’, where he can ‘rule the roost’. A leafy address with no major roads nearby and no threatening animals next door/nearby is preferable. A beautiful, loving cat which needs a special person to love and care for him forever and who will commit to the above conditions. He is litter trained but does like to be outside a lot of the time. This could change given the correct household. . . . A big ask we know, but is muss the cat for you???
