andy is a young 5 yo poodle x shih tzu. He is fit, healthy and loves walking and playing with soccer balls, and is always ready for ‘where’s your ball?’ or snoozing on the couch for hours on end every day. He has come a long way with other dogs and people and has become such a great, trained, inside dog. . . Andy is house trained, walks on a lead well, rides in the car quietly, sleeps all night (inside), and is quiet and not demanding at all. He is starting to show his true colours after not a very good start and has become well adjusted with routine and boundaries showing he is a quick learner. . . Andy alerts you when strangers enter your home but very soon calms down when ignored and realises ‘oh it’s just another friend to play with’. He is great to be bathed, clipped and brushed, and is well mannered when handled. He can be a bit sensitive at times with his body and he isn’t used to being man handled a lot but \ he seeks out tlc. . . Andy has showed he is friendly and calm to dogs and loves the girls. He would prefer little dogs for friends rather than bigger dogs because he gets shy when big dogs greet him. Although he lives with two big dogs here and is fine because they ignore him most of the time. . . Andy has a curly, non-shedding coat so he needs professional bathing and clipping every 4-6 weeks to keep him clean and tangle free. He's a unique little guy and super cute: he appears to have a poodle coat and body with shih tzu head! andy was surrendered to the pound after a family break-up. Luckily, he only had to spend a couple of hours there before being rescued. . . Andy seeks a home without younger children. He would like a quiet environment/family home and would really suit an older couple who like a walk to the shops and to lounge around home gardening and throwing a tennis ball.
