About Tex *On Trial in His New Home*
*tex is currently trialling his new home* adorable tex just loves attention and laps up all the cuddles and affection he can get! he’s a friendly, confident little dog who seems just as happy hanging in the backyard or inside snuggled quietly beside you (or on your lap!) while you watch tv. He’s looking for a loving new home, will it be with you?
recently rescued from our local pound tex is settling into foster care where he’s being shown the ropes by his carers own female dogs; tash an 11 year old german shepherd and coco a 6 year old maltese x shih tzu. We don’t think tex lived with another dog in his past life so tash has had to put him in his place a couple of times when he’s tried to challenge the “pecking order” though only over treats and bones as all 3 are fine eating each others dry food so his carer is helping tex with this. He’s great with children and enjoys playtime with his carer’s 4 & 8 year old niece and nephew. Tex isn’t licky and only appears to bark when necessary so he’s not a yapper. He walks well on a lead and responds to the “stop” command before crossing roads. Tex also knows “sit” and as he’s only a young dog he would enjoy some more training especially if there are treats involved!
here’s some video of tex: http://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=n-m5eclrokq
handsome tex looks like a foxy though he has the shorter legs of a jack russell. As he is already housetrained tex would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle either with his humans all to himself, so long as he’s not left alone for long periods of time while he settles in, or with a friendly doggie companion to learn from. Secure fencing, chicken necks to munch on and toys to keep him stimulated will make this friendly little fella very happy indeed!
