About Merlin
I'm trying a new home to see if i like it!!
Merlin is a real gentleman who never causes a fuss and gets on with everyone be they adult, child, dog or cat but he does have an eye for the rabbit! merlin doesn't bark but likes to talk with some interesting vocals to let you know he is pleased and happy. He loves to be stroked and hugged but is not pushy and never jumps up. Merlin is happy to sit near you or to retire to his bed. He likes to play with other dogs in his foster home or in the park but also loves to be close to humans. He likes his food and is easily fed and not greedy. Merlin has a 'double coat' with a soft dense undercoat and a harsh, weather resistant outer coat which will require brushing once a week but he is a very good boy to groom. Merlin's carer wonders what he must think has happened to him after giving 5 years loyal service to his original owners. We try and reassure him that it was not his fault that he and his lady friend were dumped in the pound and tell merlin that we will find him a new and better home and that it will come along very soon. It is hard to look into those deep black eyes and ask why this has happened to merlin. His new home must be as a house dog with permanent access to the house at all times. Merlin is a dog that requires walks everyday and, if his owners are at work, another dog is a must!
Merlin comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and with local council lifetime registration for $350. If you would like more information on merlin or to arrange to meet him, please email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading.
