About Sarah (On Trial)
Sarah is a 3 yo purebred shih tzu. She adores being near you, especially on your lap. She lives for belly rubs and cuddles. She doesn't fret when i go out and is always overjoyed to see me when i come home. She behaves well in the car and is learning to walk on a lead. She is a fast learner. She doesn't demand big walks; a stroll around the block each day is all she expects. . . Sarah is still young and playful and enjoys playing with her soft toys and a game of tug and chase with my other small foster dog. She is safe with children (doesn't nip) but really isn't a child's dog; she's more of a devoted companion for an adult. I don't have a cat so can't say what she'd be like but i expect she'd get used to one. . . Sarah is timid when she meets people for the first time and will hide behind my chair and bark when a stranger comes in. But her curiosity quickly gets the better of her and she peeks around the chair, then comes out to see what's going on. Once she gets to know you sarah is very, very affectionate. . . Sarah is very much an indoor dog. She's fully housetrained and uses the doggy door to let herself outside when needed. She enjoys looking out the door to see what's going on and will bark when dogs walk past. She sleeps inside and likes to be in the house with me most of the time. She's no trouble at night, she just sleeps on a chair in the lounge room. She's not a fussy eater and enjoys her food. . . Sarah has a gorgeous soft coat that is almost all white except for a tinge of caramel on her back. She doesn't shed so she requires brushing (almost every day), bathing (about every 3 weeks) and professional clipping (about every 4 to 6 weeks). . . Before coming into foster care, sarah spent her first couple of years with an elderly lady and had little contact with other people. So sarah's not suited to a busy or noisy household. She would be happiest in a more settled home with older people. It'll take sarah a couple of days to settle into her forever home but she'll soon adapt and be your adoring companion for life. . . *** please see more photos of sarah at http://tinyurl.
