Rikki

ADOPT ME
Rikki is a Sharpei/Kelpie X 2yrs, male desexed vaccinated, microchipped on heartworm prevention.
Rikki is a lovely boy, having spent so long at RCR he can be quite nervous of new situations and city traffic/horns/etc, however he is never snappy and will lean towards you rather than attempting to run in these situations. He is good with other dogs, okay with cats although I wouldn't trust him 100% yet (he has been here less than 2 weeks and I expect he will improve with time). Having not had much interaction with children I wouldn't recommend him for a young family however family's with responsible teenage children would be ideal for Rikki or even a single person or couple with a playmate to keep him company while your at work would be suitable. Rikki went to his first obedience class on Friday night and although extremely nervous and intimidated at the start by the end of the class he was walking at heal and sitting like a pro. Of the 3 foster dogs I have here he is the easiest to walk -- no pulling on the lead or trying to charge in front. I feel Rikki is the type of dog who will blossom into a fabulous family pet within a few weeks. He is also house trained and is happy to take his turn on the couch for cuddles in the evening.
