Tahne

Tahne is a large german shepherd. He may be big, but he is a bit of a softie - loving to cuddle into you when petting him. Tahne has been living with a older female dog - so would be best suited to a family with another dog to keep him company. Tahne loves to play fetch - and loves any sort of ball - including basket balls. Tahne has basic obedience training, knowing commands such as sit, down and wait. He has been trained through an obedience school sometime ago and is now working on remembering his formal training, which he is picking up quite quickly. He does still need to learn some manners, as he tries to sneak inside - but he quickly listens when told no. He is getting a lot better on the lead - he has been using a gentle leaderi and after pulling for the first couple of minutes, he soon settles down and enjoys his walk!

he is a very intelligent boy - so would be wonderful to take to obedience/agility training. Tahne is wonderful with kids - especially as he loves to play - but would be best suited with primary school aged children or older - as his boisterous behaviour when he is playing is a bit much for toddlers. Tahne is ok with cats - but he does bark at them. (he also barks at guinea pigs). Tahne would love to join a family where someone is home often as he loves human company.
