About Chickpea
Chickpea came to her current owners as a stray but their other cat (also a stray) has made her life very difficult. He is very aggressive towards her and so she has to live in the back room and doesn't get as much affection and freedom as she deserves. Due to being badly treated by previous owners, chickpea initially lived in the cupboard and didn't like to be patted but over time she has come out of her shell and is now a lovely, quirky cat. She still requires her space and can get overwhelmed if she is crowded sometimes, but she loves to sit on laps and, when she is feeling affectionate, will roll around on the floor rubbing against anything in reach. Chickpea loves to roam outside and the sun really shows up the beautiful colours in her coat. She is a crazy, independent soul, but would settle nicely in a home where this is appreciated. Chickpea would do best in a household with no other pets or children as this is where she would feel most comfortable. She tends to bond strongly with one person and would be an affectionate friend for them. Chickpea comes desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is free to a good home. If you would like more information on chickpea or to arrange to meet her, please phone rachel on 02 94401015 or email mail@paws. Com. Au using private adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check the private adoptions page on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and stories and to make sure this cat is still available for adoption. Listed 18 june
