About Judd
this gorgeous boy will not last long! judd is a senior labrador with the loveliest nature. His big boofy head is perfect for patting and he is such a loyal companion that it will break his foster carers' hearts to say goodbye. This is what his carers pauline and ross have to say:
judd has the most adorable 'quirky' personality and everyone who meets him has fallen in love with him. Judd follows ross around like his shadow and when ross is home judd never leaves his side. It reminds me of the movie "red dog".
judd can be quite demanding in a very cute way. If we are watching the tv and he decides he isn't getting enough attention he will very gently nuzzle your feet or give you a nudge or hand you his paw. If none of this works he will plonk his head on your lap and gaze at you with those "how can you possibly resist me?" eyes.
from the first day we brought judd home he was eager to please in every way. He was a little overly enthusiastic on walks and around his food but with some guidance he is now so well-mannered and responsive to commands.
judd gets on with all of the dogs in the neighbourhood and our friends and neighbours all think he is great. He just loves coming in the car with us and every day is a 'box of birds' for this loving dog who really thinks everything in the world is all about him.
when judd first arrived at the rspca he was severely obese. He looked like a shetland pony with a bullmastiff head. When we first saw his size we thought "o. M. G. Where do we start?" with lots of walks and a strict diet judd has slowly evolved into a fit healthy and magnificent-looking canine. Now that he is at a far more suitable weight judd is ready to move on to a new family. He will need to continue with his healthy regimen and have his weight closely monitored but this boy is easily the champion of "biggest loser - fat labs".
judd is such a companionable dog that he'd love his new owner to be at home most of the time. As long as he got his regular walks he'd spend the rest of his day lying at your feet following you around or if you wouldn't mind stretching out on the lounge with his head in your lap. This is one truly loveable dog!
