Jackson *On Trial in His New Home*

*jackson is currently trialling his new home* found wandering the streets of mildura with a very nasty infection in his left eye jackson was lucky to be picked up by a kind samaritan who took him to our local vets and after a hospital stay, where he remained unclaimed, we were contacted for help, so now jackson is a sarg puppy who’s looking for a caring forever home; will it be with you?

jackson has been in care for a few weeks now while his eye got better and during that time the clever boy has mastered housetraining and using a doggie door. He has learnt to “sit” and his carer is now working on “shake” and “drop” as jackson is keen for more and being food orientated this has helped with his training. He is also learning how to walk on a lead as we doubt he’d had much practice at this but he’s getting the hang of it and enjoys getting out and about. Loveable jackson likes to play with other friendly dogs and surprisingly he’s fine with cats so we’re wondering if perhaps he grew up with one in his past life. Being a staffy x he adores humans and is more than happy to follow you around the garden, perhaps play a game of tug-o-war and then curl up beside you on the couch at night for some cuddle time as he’s a real snuggle-bunny who loves attention!
as he’s only a young pup jackson will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep jackson stimulated will make him very happy indeed. As jackson is now housetrained he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
