Bernie

This gorgeous looking boy is bernie recently surrendered to us with his three brother (yes there is three more gorgeous boys looking for homes as well) after his owner started working away more and couldn’t put the time and effort into the boys that they needed and deserved. These boys have come a long way in such a short time. When they first came into care they were petrified of everyone and everything. It was quite strange because we would be more likely to see dogs unsociable with other dogs, but not humans. With these boys, it was almost like they hadn’t been around any person except their one and only owner. We also have a theory that they may have been mistreated so you can understand that these boys didn’t get off to a good start. In saying that, with all of the love and tlc in the world we had, we gave to them and still are. These boys are completely different dogs now. Instead of being timid little boys that would hide and cower in the corner, they happily come up to you looking for love and affection. None of the boys realise their size and love you so much that they believe they are lap dogs now and can sit on your knee lol. Being smart dogs, these boys are learning quickly now they have learnt to trust their foster carers. This will be the same with their new homes. These boys need to go to homes where people will be gentle with them but have a firm voice still instead of a firm hand. The boys just simply adore other dogs and love kids and people once they get to know them. Until they get to know you (if they are a little unsure of you) they will keep their distance but gentle tones and guidance and they will come and give you a gentle kiss and sit at your feet for pats. Once they know you better again, they will happily greet you when you get home from work with waggy tails and circles of excitement. These boys are still learning their basic obedience so obedience training would definitely benefit these boys. We know that bernie and his beautiful brothers won’t last long so call terri to meet them
