About Niles **Adoption in Progress**
This gorgeous cuddly boy is niles. Doesn’t he just give you the warm and fuzzies being so cute and snuggly. Niles was surrendered to us after his owners were able to give him the time and attention he needed. In saying that, most border collies would be incredibly demanding and high energy but this boy is quite the opposite. Niles’s foster carer describes him as “zen-like” with such a gentle and chilled out. Niles would rather be by your side on the floor on the couch with you than going out for a 15km run like most working dog breeds. I would describe niles as a little bit of a gentle soul too, he will have a little bit of a whinge if he is outside and you are inside but then i think he realises it’s not so bad and will go off and explore the backyard and do his own thing. Nile’s foster carers have been working on his basic obedience and he is coming along nicely. Sometimes his excitement can get the better of him so a stern voice can be needed for him to regain his self control lol. Being a very smart boy though, he picks up on things very quickly. He walks really well on the lead but again, sometimes his excitement can initially get the better of him. . . But who can blame him. . . He loves his walkies!
niles would best be suited to a family that would let him inside on occasions and spend the time with him when they are home, whether it be letting him just lay on the kitchen floor or going for a car ride to the shop for milk. Niles just adores his people and he gets on really well with other dogs too. Niles is looking for a home where his owners will have similar souls to his but will also have a firm voice when required. He is great with kids too so a family would be right up his
alley. Call terri to meet this beautiful boy
