Chopper

When i got chopper home it took him about 15 minutes before he decided to jump out of the back of my car (see photos chopper 4 and 5). Finally my own dog danny arrived home and between the two of them they investigated my yard and wee’d themselves silly. Chopper wouldn’t come into the house due to danny’s stare but chopper soon overcame his fear and eventually settled on the floor for the rest of the night. Chopper now knows he has full run of the house and yard and quite confident in being part of my household. Chopper is always on the look out for that walk or chance to explore so starting taking them to the beach, instant hit with chopper and ran himself silly everytime. When we get home little bit of a run around the yard drinking plenty of water and then ends up flat out on the floor and all is quiet on the western front for a good couple of hours. Chopper has recently had the desexing operation which means no beach for next ten days so we now go out to 4 mile for exercise. Chopper will take off and run and run and run but he will always come back to the car as yet have not lost him or had to go looking or him. Meal time is at night and chopper is one well behaved dog while waiting for his meal. He knows to sit and wait for me to put bowl down and proceeds to eat his meal like there is no tomorrow. So far i have fed him canned food, dried food, raw food, bones and cooked food. Chopper is treated as an inside/outside dog and has a very loving nature. He is house trained and knows the basic commands of sit and no. To get him into the back of the car i find it best to put him on a lead and then get him to jump in. I tie him up and he is as good as gold on the back of the car. Chopper needs plenty of exercise or a playmate that is just as energetic as him. Chopper does jump up but only to let you know he is glad to see you when you get home from being out or if he thinks it is exercise time. No sign of him trying to jump the fence to get out.
