About Irish (Hd151) *Adoption Pending*
Hi,
my name is irish (because they think i have wolfhound in me, but i think i have malamute in me too). I was due to be euthanised at the local pound after being left there for two weeks, but i was rescued by safe hedland and now i am looking for a family of my own. I have a lot of energy, and need daily exercise - an hour in the morning and an hour at night is great - which means you'll be pretty fit too!
i am pretty good on the lead, and good off the lead too. Mary takes me down to the beach regularly, which i love, and i'm good and come back when she calls me. I get on well with other dogs, although i can be a bit annoying to them because i get so excited and want to jump all over them and play - i'm not aggressive whatsoever though. My foster friend frank (who is a chihuahua) tells me off when i stand on him - and i don't react at all. I love one-on-one time with my carer mary, and when it's just the two of us i calm down heaps and will sit and lay down while she watches tv in the evening. During the day i live outside, and don't mind being on my own - i don't dig, or jump or bark to annoy the neighbours. Sometimes i sleep in mary's laundry at night, sometimes outside - just depends on what i feel like. Mary has been taking me to obedience training since she's been caring for me - check out my video - i am very clever and learn new things quite quickly. I need a family who can devote the time to exercising me, and keeping up with my training. Unfortunately, because i do get so excited and still jump up, i wouldn't suit a family with small/ young children. I'm an excellent companion and very affectionate with mary - i love giving her lots of licks and being close to her - i will follow her around the house everywhere. For more information on me, or if you are interested in adopting me please contact safe hedland. Thanks,
irish
