About Lady (On Trial)
On trial in a new home 3/6/12. Please consider our other dogs and puppies at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly lola and midnight. . . Meet lady, a 2 yo kelpie cross, gentle and shy. She is an amazingly, calm, submissive and loving dog. Doesn't pull on leash, doesn't bark, she is very smart and quick to learn! she is the sweetest, easiest dog i've had in a while! she amazes us with her soft temperament. She is the perfect dog! we've had absolutely no problems with her so far. The first few days she seemed a bit depressed but is now starting to wag her tail more and we're seeing her playful side as well. . . Lady has been good with all the dogs we've met. She loves the water and swimming. She is not a barker. She only barks occasionally in response to other dogs barking in the area and only if she is outside at the time. She is fine in the yard while we are out and doesn’t disturb the neighbours, but…she does howl if caged in a pen with no company for too long, which is understandable. . . Lady loves everyone. She rode in the car very well. I clipped her nails and she just lay on her back. I also washed her which she didn't like but she didn't complain. Now there's a tired lady sleeping on her bed under a towel under our feet. She's a true sweetheart! she already has some good basic training and learns extremely quickly (waiting when going out of doors, car, going in a crate, not climbing on the bed). Lady is so anxious to please that she is no trouble to train and could easily learn more. . . Lady is pretty scared of young children (4-8yo) so we recommend her only for older children (over around 11). She would be fine for older kids, especially being of such small size and good temperament. She looks so sad and lost sometimes. She doesn’t ever seem to have had any fun in her life, like chasing balls or tug-a-war. She doesn’t even pick up a toy and chew it. But in a loving and calm environment she will soon learn to relax and play. . . If there is any yelling in the house makes she goes to ground and hides, then when called, she crawls out like she is in trouble. Poor girl. It would seem she has not been treated well in the past at all. It also looks like she has had at least one litter of pups in the past. . . Lady would thrive on a loving family home that would include her in family activities and bring her out of her shell and introduce some fun and joy to her life. Someone is going to get an amazing friend in lady!. . *** please see more photos of lady at http://tinyurl.
