About Benson *On Trial in His New Home*
*benson is currently trialling his new home* bouncy-boy benson is looking for a loving forever home after misplacing his old one; will it be with you?
after being found and brought to our vets with a severe case of emaciation, due to neglect, benson spent his first 5 days as a sarg puppy fighting for his life, which, thanks to a plasma transfusion is a fight this beautiful pup thankfully won!! he’s now thriving in foster care where he has more than doubled in weight as well as learning how to “sit” , “shake” and “high 5”. Clever benson is learning how to walk on a lead and enjoys getting out and about. He gets along well with his carer’s cat and he’s terrific with other friendly dogs just wanting to do what puppies do and play with them. Benson’s ‘breed’ is what’s known here in sunraysia. Victoria as a “bullion x” - you can see ridgeback in him even though he doesn’t have an obvious ridge you can still see it in his large knuckled feet whereas his lighter colouring leans more towards the english mastiff. We reckon benson will be about the size of a labrador once he finishes growing. As he’s only a young pup benson will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep benson stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief!
as benson is doing really well with his housetraining he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
