About Nova *On Trial in Her New Home*
*nova is currently trialling her new home* cutie pup nova is one of 6 beautiful beagle x terrier pups who were saved by a kind samaritan from being “hit over the head” at 9 weeks of age and then drove them the 4½ hours to us sarg folk in mildura as she knew we’d look after them and find them the best homes; will it be with you???
all of the pups have lovely, friendly nature’s and get along well with their carers other dogs and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof” – they’re even good with the household cat. Beagles are intelligent but, as a result of being bred for the long chase (hunting), are single-minded and determined, which can make them hard to train. They are generally obedient, but can be difficult to recall once they have picked up a scent, and are easily distracted by smells around them (hence why they were so hard to photograph!). They do not generally feature in obedience trials; while they are alert, respond well to food-reward training, and are eager to please, they are easily bored or distracted so can be diggers and chewers. Beagle’s are excellent with children. As nova’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep nova stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Enjoy some video of nova, keisha and boulder: http://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=gvpk-bcyk5k&feature=youtu. Be
nova would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup as beagle’s are pack animals and can be prone to separation anxiety. If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up a beagle x terrier pup then please download and complete a sarg dog application form by following this link: http://www. Sarg. Net.
